On May 25th and 26th, the Bradford Eagles 2003 Girls (U10) participated in the Ottawa Icebreaker Tournament hosted by the Ottawa Internationals Soccer Club. The team represented Bradford well with their determined effort throughout the cold and windy weekend. They came in second in their group round robin and advanced to the playoff rounds in which they secured their spot in the semi-finals. They won 3rd place in their division of 11 teams. The bronze medal game was won thanks to superb teamwork. The single goal by Christina Gomes and two monster in-game penalty shot saves by Madison Spencer delivered the victory! Great effort was made by all team members on their 2013 season tournament debut. Their hard work training at the Bradford Sports Dome over the Fall and Winter with coaches Mike Spencer and Nick Warman was evident. This was an exciting and promising start to the 2013 season!
